Re: Declining junior anglingIt does just seem to be an ageing crowd on rivers these days. Thinking about it ive not seen anyone younger than me out on the rivers for a long time and Im 40. As a kid i used to love looking forward to the BAA junior matches fishing with and against all the lads from the Starlets just seem there is no investment in junior angling anymore. Maybe the Baa could bring back a few junior matches again. The likes of Dave Webb and Ken and Janet Ask are sadly missed for sure with the amount of time, love and effort they put into junior angling.

Re: Severn @ Birds Meadow & Ripplefew years back a couple of guys used to fish it 3/4 times a week half way along the stretch they would turn up about 3 o clock and fish till last light. Similar tactics 3/4 rod lengths out fishing big feeders or bait droppers and straight lead. they did some massive weights of bream with a few barbel frown in to boot but they were putting a lot of effort and bait in to draw the fish into the area.

Re: disgustingShame the bailiff down there didnt catch him as hes a no nonsense type of guy. Baa member or not he would have been evicted and reported.
