Re: Marlcliff

After much badgering, the EA finally got the land owner's details and I'm pleased to say this eyesore has now been removed.
Fished the peg week last Friday and had a great time finishing with 7 barbel, 1 chub.
Tight line,
Dave

Re: Marlcliff

I was down at Marcliff on Friday and the car is still in the peg , with the high river levels over back end of last week the car was submerged up to the windscreen. I have now spoken the EA and they assure me that this matter will now be sorted and the car removed.

They are sending officers down tomorrow to asses the situation, so hopefully this eyesore will soon be gone.

Dave.

Gear Stolen

Hi All,

Just a heads up, Me and my friend were fishing Brook Section on Saturday, arrived around 4.30, went down with some gear and picked pegs etc... came back to the van to collect the bivvy's for the forthcoming night session, only to find someone had taken it upon themselves to break into the van and make away with a bivvy, bedchair, coolbag and rucksac.
We were down for 5 days and this sadly made us cut our holiday short as the van was now unsafe, oh and my friend had nowt to sleep on...So back to Hull it was.
The BAA were very understanding and have credited us for the remaining night tickets.
The police have been informed and are now doing extra patrols of the area.
But if you are to use this car park, please don't leave any gear in your cars as i'm sure they will be back.
The disappointing thing is this is such a great venue that I will no longer feel safe at, and the walk is such, that you can't just pop back to check your vehicle.
Also if you are offered any of the following, please contact me or the BAA.
TFGear 1 man Bivvy, Wychwood tecnical flat bed chair, Techni-Ice cool bag (blue) or a Jetboil flash.

Many Thanks,
Dave

Re: Marlcliff

Spoke to the association and they said it is the land owners responsibility to move the car, but they did tell me that if enough people ring the EA then it's possible they may move it under the pollution act, the number is on the back of your licence, so if you all have time, please ring and lets get this eyesore shifted before season start.
Tight lines...

Re: NIght Fishing Permits

Hi Johnny,

To true, looked into doing a bit over there and it all looks quite simple to book your peg, shame about the no night fishing bit though, would love to spend a overnight session on the Wye.

The other downside to buying them up front is you are stuck at the chosen venue, me and my buddy come down for 5 days at a time, therefore have to book the relevant night permits before we set off, if on arrival a venue is unfishable or not producing for what ever reason, if we have booked for 2 nights, then we fish for 2 nights. But if the online option was active, then it would be easy to purchase a few more permits and move, I'd rather spend an extra £10 to fish a stretch that's producing than sit there wishing we were somewhere else.
