Halesowen RBL match on the Staffs / Worcs canal at Hinksford 22/10/23 We had to transfer yet another match from a flooded river to the Staffs / Worcs canal at Hinksford The last league match was fished again on the day before so it seems the they were full up and didn't want to feed today, but don't let this result put you off the venue Reg as the league has now finished and your match is on a Saturday. Bream and skimmers should be your weight builders with perch as back up, a couple of chub might show and the bigger roach are still absent, watch out for pike as there are plenty about. Halesowen RBL AC club match on staffs canal at Hinksford. Switched from a high Severn to the Staffs / Worcs canal at Hinksford. Despite having a league match fished on the stretch the day before, some caught, some didn't . Cradley Heath Labour AC match fished at Blackstone 8/10/23 With the river still pushing hard slack water pegs were at a premium, however some of us caught a few. 1st Sean Waite 9 - 13 - 0 ( ground bait feeder caught some skimmers from a downstream peg ) 2nd Mick Whitmore 7 - 2 - 0 3rd Andy Sloan 3 - 15 - 0 4th Lawrie Mulheron 3 - 0 - 0 5th Steve Horton 2 - 6 - 0 Posted on October 09, 2023 at 6:51 PM
John Flood Memorial / BAA Bailiffs at Ripple 5/10/23 With the river still carrying a bit of extra water and only falling slowly, expectations were still high to catch a few fish. However, some anglers struggled for bites.
