I've seen reports of barbel at coppice on this forum before,think they're quite rare though.Was the fish in good condition?

It's the same on canals,some boats are considerate and polite,others just the opposite I usually give em a mouthful back if they annoy me,

Back in the 80s, ribbesford was stuffed with big roach lots of fish over a pound,bronze maggot in them days,good to see them making a comeback
