I ended up buying a lure rod and some soft plastic lures, I used to feed the peg and start off with a lure and intermittently cast it out for 5 minutes and I ended up catching some good fish biggest one being 17lb

Have a look at forden some nice gravel runs to go at I haven’t been there for a few years but I always used to catch some there

What a cracking fish, like I said earlier we used to catch some big chub up there so it doesn’t surprise me anymore that fish of that size are there if you can find them.
