Re: So, are there any fish left in Retreat FarmWent again yesterday. Improvement on my last trip !! On the way to pool 1 I filmed pool 2, weedy to say the least, see video. Finished with 3, biggest 12lb, others 9lb & 10 1/2lb. Another had a couple in the afternoon on bread fished on a pole. Spoke to one fishing the river, he was 1 of 4 who fished the pool in the morning, all blanked.

Re: Retreat Farm Tench?Went again Friday, fished pool 1, not even a line bite !! I have a feeling the fish aren`t there any more. Saw half a dozen splash down wind of the island and one took one piece of bread close in. I`ve fished here since the pools became available and watched the fish grow from the initial 3 - 3 1/2lb to double figure. My best were last October at 10lb, 11lb & 12lb (weighed). But the last few times have been disappointing. On the question of otters I normally stay to the end, often alone, and have never seen one. There were another 3 fishing Friday, all blanked.

Re: Retreat Farm Tench?Hi, see earlier posts, everyone I speak to that's fishing pool 2 says the same - not a bite !! I have tried it 3 times since the pools were re opened. Not a bite. It was OK before the closure due to the top mouth Gudgeon, on a good day you could catch 25 Carp plus 1 Tench. Numbers wise I don`t think there are many. Went on pool 1 yesterday, loads swimming around but reluctant to feed. Had 2, about 8 fished, most blanked.

Re: Parking issues when fishing the river LuggIf I remember right it was more or less opposite a hole in the fence. I believe there is a proper gate there now.
