Re: Retreat farm pools open!Same here, spoke to half a dozen others, tried it twice now, not a bite reported, always finish up on 1 to catch something.

Re: Stubbs poolCouldn`t agree more. Went there a few weeks ago and finished up coming home in a breakdown truck, front spring came off the lower seat !! On top of this never had a bite.

Re: Retreat farm pools open!Hi, I have fished there twice since the re opening 2 weeks ago. Fished pool 1 Tuesday, caught an abundance of Carp, more than 12 months ago. Tried pool 2 yesterday (Saturday 13th). There were already 3 fishing when I arrived early afternoon. None of us had a nibble !! Went to pool 1 again to catch something. The fish have grown during the last 12 months, the biggest I had previously, from pool 2, was 6 1/4lb. Weighed 2 Tuesday at 7 1/2lb & 7lb. Someone fishing opposite me weighed one at the same yesterday. At the moment pool 1 is close to a bite every cast. Will try 2 again after a spell of warm weather.

Unfortunately BAA officials, and members, do not have the right to ask to see someones E.A. licence, only E.A. bailiffs and police officers can ask to see it.

Re: Cotheridge - is there a way there?I have crossed the river a couple of times from the right bank (Leigh & Ox Bow Lake). If you look on the Leigh map it`s where the lake is shown as joining the river. From the Cotheridge car park it` s downstream at the end of the straight high bank where the river turns left. The deep side switches from left to right and by wading diagonally you could cross. This is quite a few years back and the river may have altered.
