Re: Pershore RBI’ve fished it a few times, mainly winter for pike, towards the top end once weed dies off,did walk it myself last Friday, couple of anglers there one trotting the other with pole out, they were both just fishing for silvers.Did notice on opposite bank where the boats are usually moored 3 bivvys up and I’m guessing over night barbel fishing as 6 rods were pointing skywards,so I’m guessing must b ok for barbel?Pity the matches held there don’t report winners catch/methods

Re: Apperley poolsThanks for replying, did fish it once myself from that same peg one winter years back for pike but no bites,at that time the second pool was totally unfishable, just curious now as someone’s created few pegs on that second pool, guess the only way I’ll know is try it myself.Have fished Mythe plenty so know about the bream, carp and tench in there, heard rumours of a 10lb+ tench out this year.Think all their still waters have limited stocks and don’t fancy Coppice carp pool

Apperley poolsThe pool nearest car park is now completely covered in duckweed, does anyone know if this is harmful for the fish?I’m thinking lack of oxygen/sunlight,sure I was told it had been stocked with tench and bream recently, the other pool(nearest house)is free of duckweed, but looked completely lifeless!there’s been a few pegs cleared so can anyone confirm if it’s worth trying the other lake,if so what species can I expect to catch?

Re: Uckinghall zanderI wonder if there’s any in Mythe seeing as the Severn floods into it,lots of small Rudd in there last year so there’s a ready food source for them, unless the cormorants get there first!have had some strange bites whilst dead baiting for pike during the winter, usually unhittable tho
