Mini 20 AC Worc/Bham 46-47 Whitford Bridge 7/12/19

1. Andy Lacey 10-13-0
2. Keith Jones 6-8-0
3. Dennis Evans 3-3-13
4. Mick Stewart 2-13-0

Double figures for Andy up near bridge 47 with some good skimmers, roach and perch to maggot and caster across. Skimmers and roach on bread punch @ 5m for 2nd place. Not a single boat on a pleasant day with no breeze. Had some decent catches on this section before. It can fish as well as anywhere along this cut. Sweetcorn over groundbait is a good offering for the skimmers in summer.

Re: Travellers Rest AC Staff/Worc Canal BR 17-18 16th Nov FUR N FEATHER

We also moved our match from river to Staffs/Worc canal yesterday. 8 of us fished Caunsall again and only 2 Perch caught between us, so 6 dry nets. 4 weeks ago, same anglers on the same pegs had nearly 30lb of roach and perch between us. So where have all the fish gone? Water temp yesterday was only 4 degrees. Have they just switched off the feed, shoaled up or moved out?

Mini 20 AC Staffs/Worc Caunsal 12/10/19

1. M. Imrie 8lb 1 oz
2. A. Lacey 5lb 13oz
3. M.Lacey 5lb 6oz
4. M. Stewart 3lb 7oz

Perch and a bonus 3lb plus bream for the winner. A few decent back up weights mostly bread caught roach and yet more perch. Our last couple of visits here were fairly desperate outings with many dry nets. It was good to see plenty of small roach on the feed this time.

Mini 20 AC Pershore R/B 14/09/19

1. M Lacey 13-7-0
2. M Imrie 10-11-0
3. D Evans 9-0-0
4. K Jones 7-15-0

Again the clear river did not stop the silvers from feeding for the duration of this match.
A good bag of skimmers for the winner from the boatyard section. Mick even had to contend with a dog in his swim at one point. Plenty of roach, dace and perch being caught all along.
A great day to be out on the river.
