Re: What do you want from the BAA

Johnny Care..... Just side stepping things for a moment I have watched your videos on You Tube, good they are too, just what fishing videos should be, a bloke fishing and catching fish, not a bloke fishing trying to be a TV presenter. .. Recommended

A good point made by curry, and I think the posts have shown this, it is a very diverse membership and that can only be a good thing. A bit of something to please everyone.

Curry, with you all the way on your post, wouldn't want to pay too much more though, but it is suberb value for money, that's why I joined.

Re: Coppice Lake

Just how big they go I don't know. I think there are probably a fair few in there around the 3 to 4lb mark but I wouldn't expect them every visit.

I haven't fished the top end, and I find half way or thereabout along the other banks seem to do better, the corners don't seem so productive for some reason [probably my rubbish fishing skills] Hope this gives an insight.

Re: Coppice Lake

Fish with whatever. Loads of small skimmers, roach etc, Also some decent perch, had them to 2lb 70z, had one or two tench 3 to 4lb and a couple of barbel to around 5lb but I think only 3 barbel have been put in there according to the BAA. Had skimmers/bream around 3 to 4lb, so a mixed bag. Float fished it's mainly skimmers, roach etc a few ounces each but it does throw up a surprise now and then.
On the carp front I have had loads out of there over the past few years, a few into the twenties, but sadly there seems to be an increasing number with terribly damaged mouths so I don't target these anymore [plus it gets a bit boring] but still pick up the odd one occasionally ledgering luncheon meat for the bigger bream etc. All in all, on the pole [I don't use one] on the right day you should have a good bag of silvers, it does sometimes take a while to get them going though, maggots, bread and a tin of meat should crack it.

Have a good day.
