as most things in life, you will find its the drivers who dont know how to "drive" thats the problem. if the ground is so soft that a near 2 ton 4x4 is sinking/ leaving huge ruts then a responsible 4x4 driver wouldn`t go across,
yes i have 4x4 trucks and lots of real "off road" experience .
birds meadow has been like that for a few years, same as salford , yet instead of driving through the puddles, people drive "around" them. making it worse.

iv seen mink around most of the teme for over 25 years. the severn. at ladyham watched two feeding their young. also most of the avon. salford area well know as used to have mink hunts around there. i belive most otter sighting more likely mink. i have only seen otters myself up in scotland. but mink are everywhere.

iv fished the very top peg, opp the cottage. very deep, still had a nice barbel
as you walk down track from car park first few pegs look great, streamer weed, maybe 3 to 4 ft deep,
below the old bridge i cant say as never walked down there,
the bailiff a top chap and will help you out, he knows his oats smiling
