Yep middle Severn. caster or meat on the hook working for me. with lots of hemp
all float work .
Trimply, Arley all fishing very well at mo.
fast shallow glides before or after deep water what i look for. also any over hanging trees barbel magnets !
i would feeder fish if river pushing through.

i was at Trimpley yesterday evening.
i park at Arley and walk the path. takes about 40 min to get to the gravel bed. but was stopping and looking at pegs on way down.
i used my carp barrow ( single wheel type) and find much easier this way
. once you get out the woods. you are in the field with the reservoirs. some solar panals on your left.
keep walking with river on your right. you will come to narrow foot brigde. just over this and down on your right is the big gravel beach. shallow and fast water !
its not a bad walk, much better than via the wood/ reservoir.
one way back up i fished the float near the B&B (worralls grove) nice bit of gravel in pacey flow.
but didn't catch anything.
walk back took 15 mins from the b&b but if its dark a good head torch a must if you don`t know path
and yes its worth the effort for barbel n chub

you get the odd few lads down here but that`s normally zipping around on their dirt bikes.
its not like they come down looking for a fight lol.
id say more chance of getting in a situation on the canals not down stubbs pool.
iv never had any problems over the years.

where about did you park ? this is a fantastic winter venue thou iv not been since
the BAA have sorted the tress and had big clean up (last year i think)
still the amount we pay for what we have is unbelievable !
40 quid for miles and miles of rivers. some over grown. some with platforms, some with out. lots with nice clean pegs etc.
try finding another club with same amount of water for that price !
