I know there was a match on the Anker at Bolehall Sunday 2nd October and I walked the venue for the first time Saturday afternoon. Looks to me like a roving/stalking Chub stretch to me but does anyone know what the match threw up there? I'm going to wait til there's a bit more flow on it to fish there but it does look the part.

You could all be mistaken regarding the 16 3/4 lb barbel. the angler could be 9'6" tall !!!!!!!

had a nice day on the avon today. i fished the last peg on the stretch next to the marlcliff car park caught about 40 perch all between 4 and 8 0z a few small roach, a couple of half decent chub, a couple of dace and a few bleak, nothing special but a nice day in the sun watching my stick float dip under on most trots fishing worm and caster.enjoyed it.

Done a couple sessions. Trotted maggots and caught a handful of dace. Chatted to a bailiff and fished cubes of meat with a 3oz cage feeder filled with krill soaked pellet and hemp, couple of rod lengths out. Lost a small bream at the net and loads of knocks from small fish. Going to try further out for bream I think and maybe some more barbel sessions.
