Re: Newhalls accessThe club that turned up and found the parking by the leisure centre all blocked off came to an arrangement with a nearby pub, where they parked in the pub car park provided they brought a drink in the pub after the match, they were the club that let us know about the loss of parking. We have no such arrangement so can't advertise it, as a result it is currently down to anglers to arrange parking as best they can.

Re: Teme HeavenWe have spend considerable time and money getting the dumped rubbish removed from Cotheridge and have left the fishery closed to make sure it did not start again. In the mean time the access lane is being blocked by Gypsies who have camped at the bottom of it.

Re: Himalayan BalsamAs has been said already on this conversation, balsam is endemic on the Severn, Teme and Wye and spreading along the Avon so it is beyond the capabilities of the BAA Fisheries to eradicate it. As part of our summer cut-back, balsam is strimmed along with other vegetation around our river pegs but not removed from the whole fishery. This would not be effective as has already been said balsam seeds are propagated explosively from the plants so the bank would be reseeded with seeds floating downstream.

Re: Teme HeavenGood to hear that people are catching fish on the Teme, as when we (the Fisheries Team) visit the river to work on it we see very few fish.
