Re: BAA website not available

Hi bobrich, what happened was the Domain Name system started directing BAA website access requests to the old website rather than the current one. That website has long been removed from the system, hence the resulting message from Titan. The fix was implemented to re point BAA website access requests to the current website, but the change needed some time to propagate across all the Domain Name System servers, while this was happening some access requests would still be routed to the old website.

The company that runs our Domain Name is investigating why this happened and making sure it does to reoccur.

Stacklands new pegs

The Fisheries team was at Stacklands again today (Monday 17th August) and by cutting back some of the trees at the downstream end of the fishery close to the footbridge have created what look like good pegs where the river is nice and deep along our bank.

Let us know how you get on.

I know it has been discussed elsewhere on this forum, we talked to the farmer there today and he is rightfully annoyed by people driving along the bank and also parking there. Anglers must use our parking by the fishing hut and drive there direct not via the bank to drop off tackle.

BAA website not available

The BAA website was not available for some time today Monday 17th August due to a domain name issue.

This has now been resolved and website access restored.

Re: Two problems with forum under investigation

You may be correct. I did a search through the forum a few weeks back for all the duplicates and who's postings they were. The same few people seemed to be suffering the duplicates (unless everyone else deleted them!). This info was passed to our web developer to help in the investigation.

Re: Two problems with forum under investigation

Re the problem of repeat postings, our web developer has not been able to identify the cause.

As an improvement he is going to implement a routine the deletes all repeat posts every night.

Some forum members are deleting repeats of their own posts, keep doing this please.
