England lockdown

During the lockdown in England which is due to come into force on 5th November, the Government has agreed that fishing can continue for individuals, however organised competitions are banned.

Anglers can travel to wherever they like in order to fish, however the Government advice (not mandatory) is to try and restrict travel to your local area.

Fishing should only be undertaken on your own or with one other person from your family “bubble”.

There is no mandatory time limit  on how long you can fish for, including throughout the night. So night fishing is still permissible.

There is therefore no need for BAA to close any fisheries, but all club contests scheduled during the lockdown period are cancelled.
