Grimley broken footbridge

At Grimley a footbridge leads from the car park to the downstream meadow 5 across a gully.

On Monday 12th July the Fisheries team were at Grimley doing the summer strimming. They found that one of the planks at the downstream end of the footbridge has rotted away creating a hole in the bridge with the risk that someone will step into it with risk of injury.

We have wrapped hi vis red and white tape around the hole and reported it to Worcester County Council who own the bridge and are responsible for it's maintenance.

If you are fishing at Grimley in the near future, please be careful if crossing the bridge, and if you see that the problem has been repaired, please let us know and we can update this notification.
