Description
Approx. ¾ mile length of left bank fishing immediately downstream of our Aberbechan water. Deep runs and shallow glides, typical of upper Severn and noted for game and coarse fishing.Location (SATNAV)
Approaches
From Welshpool take A483 towards Newtown. Turn right at sign for Dolforwyn Hall. Turn left after 400 metres. Follow the lane for a further 400 metres then turn left again. Follow the lane for approx. 3/4 mile and enter the farm yard looking for BAA PARK HERE sign. Follow BAA signs on foot to the river.

Top end of Abermule by canal side below Williams plant yard. Start of Abermule stretch with new signs and lock fitted to gate with BAA gate code. This stretch continues from our lower Penarth stretch below plant yard.

This is the top end of the fishery where Penarth runs on to new water. Where banks are any more than 1metre high Noel, myself Ann and George have dug out steps with area to sit at bottom by river and a post on bank with rope on to hold on to.
