Severn
Description
Close to three miles of right bank fishing above and below Cilcewydd Bridge. Best tackled by travelling light and on foot. Salmon and coarse fish can be found in the deeper holes and on the many twists and bendsLocation (SATNAV)
Approaches
Forden: From Weshpool take A483 turning left at A490 over Cilcewydd Bridge, continue on A490 turning right on B4388 and right again into Forden, then right yet again past church and to BAA car parks. Gate lock code: See BAA Membership card
Members must not take their cars through the gate at the end of the track here.
NO FISHING AT NIGHT
From Saturday 28th September 2019, an Emergency Byelaw to protect vulnerable salmon stocks on the River Severn in Wales has been introduced by Natural Resources Wales. Salmon catch and release only is allowed on the Welsh Severn.

01 Forden car parks

This picture is in farm yard looking at top of our track down to upstream car park. Turn right here for the new down stream car park and proceed 100metres to first gate/cattle grid.

After turning right you will see first BAA sign, turn left at this sign after about twenty meters turn right and you will see a BAA Park Here sign for the uper car park.

Proceed over cattle grid nearly half a mile to next gate way seeing our sign.

Catches - Aberbechan and Forden trout.
I have some pictures of a fishing trip this Saturday 18th May 2019. The first trout was caught at Aberbechan which was one of three, two more was caught at Forden during the evening. Adam Price-Hunt.
