Description

Grimley: Still considered "Middle Severn", the river here below Holt Fleet Bridge begins to widen and deepen with average depths of six to eight feet. Plenty of chub % barbel to be found, plus a resident shoal of big bream in the upper reaches.

Hallow: A good "mixed" fishery below Bevere Weir. Barbel, bream, chub & roach predominate plus large pike.

Approaches

Grimley: Turn left into Grimley Village past Wagon Wheel Inn, then down track to car park

Hallow (sections 1-3): As for Grimley but turn right in village for Camp Hotel, park in BAA car park on left hand side of road just before reaching Camp Hotel. Do not park in Hotel car park.

Hallow (sections 4-5): Continue past Grimley on A443, turning left ½ mile past church (see map) down track next to North Lodge (close the gate). Continue down track, at farm building take track to left and continue to BAA car park next to river.

NIGHT FISHING AT HALLOW BY PERMIT ONLY.

NO FISHING AT NIGHT AT GRIMLEY.
