Re: Apperley negleted pool

I fished the bigger pool last weekend and only saw i fish roll that may have been a carp. i didn't catch a Tench but had a couple of decent Bream. had a look at the overgrown pool but didn't see any obvious signs of carp or tench despite it looking like it should have some.

Re: Apperley negleted pool

Had a walk around the two lakes yesterday, and everything looked spot on. On arriving saw an Otter swimming which was nice...not!!! A few lads fishing but nothing to show up to then, one chap had a Pike about 2/3 lbs off the small pool.

Lots of small fish topping and the very occasional bigger 'plop' I am reminded that these ponds were re-stocked a few years with quite a few Carp, I imagine they relocated to the Severn first flood.

But a nice venue, and easy access now with the gated access and parking in the field, and who knows what might be lurking?
