Sad News

It is with great regret that we have to report that one of our most experienced and hard-working BAA bailiffs, Rod Wilson from Bewdley, has died.

He was the Area Bailiff for the River Severn from Bewdley to Worcester and well-known to many anglers and local people in that area, especially at Blackstone and Ribbesford.  He was also a councillor for Wyre Forest District.

Rod leaves behind his widow Trish, herself a bailiff, who used to carry out bailiffing visits with him daily.  She tells me that he passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He will be sadly missed by everyone.

The funeral is at Wyre Forest Crematorium, Minster Rd, Stourport-on-Severn DY13 8DE at 12.30 pm on Tuesday 31st July.

His wife Trish says that the family have requested no flowers but suggest donations to Kemp House Hospice and SARA ( Severn Area Rescue Association).

The family would be pleased to see bailiffs and BAA members who knew him well.
