Hampton Loade Left Bank 1st day of the season crying

got up at 2am Friday Morning lookingi had a two and a half hour drive ahead of me
i was looking forward to doing some fishing i arrived just after 4.30am at the car park
had a walk along the bank seeing which swim i was going to fish i walked right up past
the water works bridge but there’s No Swims its all overgrown it needs strimming.

is there any plans to sort the swims out ?

and im going to fish at Hampton Loade 'B' Section next week
i hope that side is not the same? and what pegs do you recommend?

Bud check out the fisheries work plan at the top of the screen Hampton loade is not getting strimmed till 26 June so Im guessing both sections will be the same so if I were you take some cutters. Not sure on pegs if any if your after Barbel travel light and move pegs if it were me fish the stanley waters down stream. Let us know how you get on.

Not advised to recommend a peg on the 'net, besides you might get thrown a curve ball.
Don't worry about the pegs being overgrown, that provides great cover for both the fish....and hunter.

thanks for the info and i did find a place to fish after i cleared a swim with a big bank stick
I fished for about 5 hours or so and had a 6 barbel Biggest was a about 6lb+and the smallest was 1lb+
so it wasn't a bad day after all and david you say fish the stanley waters down stream is that on the baa Ticket?
