Once again Mike and Ann Wood have produced a very detailed report for the BAA Waters on the Upper Severn for the month of October 2020, a month that was badly impacted by torrential rain
I have condensed the report provided to highlight the fish that were caught at each location

Aberbechan / Penarth
Trotting tactics accounted for good catches of Dace, Roach, Perch with Chub to 4lb and Grayling to a pound and a half!!
Also the Pike anglers are having Pike to 14lb
—————
Abermule
Trotting again catching nice bags of Silvers with Chub to 5lb and Grayling to 2lbs a cracking fish by any standards!!
—————
Forden
Barbel to 7lb, Chub to 5lb and some very nice Pike to 15lb
————-
Buttington / Maginnis Bridge
The river was up 3.6m during the worst of the floods but when it had abated the intrepid anglers using Trotting tactics had good bags of Silvers and Grayling with Ron Farmer being especially successful.
————-
Poolquay / Maesydd / Rhyddesgyn
Fished well with Barbel to 12.5lb and Chub to 5.5lb.
The Pike anglers had good sport with Spinners and Deadbaits with Pike to 12lb being caught.
————-
Underdale
This venue was only fishable for EIGHT Days in the month of October 2020 due to flooding!
However it produced for those that got out on those eight days, with Barbel to 7lb, Bream to 5lb and Pike to 13lb being caught, very tight lines..
————
PowysUpper Severn in Wales was put into Lockdown on 23rd October
Thanks to the excellent work done by Mike & Ann this section is now attracting in excess of 200 anglers per month and as they said Mike and Ann as well as their colleagues and Bailiffs Barry, Will and Mark are there to help and give advice on having a good day of fishing
———-
So thanks to Mike and Ann for providing us with another comprehensive report that appears on the Latest News of the BAA Webpage

Keep on Fishing
