Parking issues when fishing the river Lugg

Some advice please on parking for the three River Lugg spots.
I really would like to try fly fishing for brownies but have always been put off by the potential parking issues - the 'where to fish' guides seem confusing when checking out on Google streetview as follows:
- Moreton - can't see where there is space to park on the road except perhaps where there seems to be an old trailer parked-up near the level crossing - looks very tight though and the directions say park near the bridge - might be space for one car near the style to the footpath.
- Marden - seems to suggest parking on the road side - but isn't this where large lorries park up before phoning to cross the level crossing?
- Dinmore - most confusing of all - the 'P' symbol is half way down a rather narrow road and the BAA map suggests this is opposite a path leading down to a bend in the river - can't see a path here and there seems to be no room to park on the roadside. And the description mentions a path just before the Railway Inn pub, which is quite a bit further down. Do I park in the entrance road to the pub and walk down from there?
I just don't want to obstruct anyone or worse come back to my car with a big scratch down one side from a tractor trying to get past.

And, if anyone has any tips on fly fishing the Lugg ie dries or nymphs then much appreciated.
Thanks
Glen

Re: Parking issues when fishing the river Lugg

Hi Glen, Had a look round back in March 2016 on my way to the Towy in Wales. The only place I could find was a slight layby at the top end of the Dinmore stretch. The inner part was well rutted and I wouldn`t fancy it (see photo I took). Same as you,on the other stretches I could not find anywhere, best thing is to phone the pub to see if it`s OK to park there and walk back to the access.

Re: Parking issues when fishing the river Lugg

Thanks for that - even with the slight widening of the road at that point it looks more like a passing point than a safe parking spot, so can't help thinking the BAA don't expect us to park there. As I say, instructions are quite ambiguous for Dinmore - 'P' symbol seems to be where your photo was taken but description mentions the pub which is much further up - is the path entrance opposite where your photo was taken? At least the pub is closed currently, so you wouldn't be affecting their trade, but what about later in the year when they are open again?
Hopefully someone has some more info because I'm still concerned about driving all the way over there and not being able to park safely - it's not fair on the locals.

If I remember right it was more or less opposite a hole in the fence. I believe there is a proper gate there now.

From Google Streetview it looks like that would obstruct the road but maybe in reality is wider than it looks on Streetview.
Thanks for the response.

Ok thanks. Will give it a try. Might be rammed this weekend though.
Any tips on flies etc. I struggle catching on dries, so usually do better on nymphs.

Ok thanks. Obviously won't be fishing for anything but brownies in the close season but good to know for the open season.
