just read the angling mail. in where to fish, it say bushley .It give the post code as gl20 5pr. this is not the same as the baa post codes. I think this one take me to the avon. Are the mail right

I reckon the BAA postcodes are correct, the GL20 one will land you up in Tewkesbury.
If you're thinking of giving it a try, let us all know how you get on. I've never fished there, but it's not too far away from me as I live in Cheltenham.
Guessing there could be some big barbel in there but few and far between.
Any other members that can shed any light?

My post code is GL20 and I live in Tewkesbury, well just north. Bushley is between Tewkesbury and Upton on Severn right bank downstream. It can be difficult to access by vehicle, and when you actually get there the banks are so overgrown you cannot access the river.... when I walked it last summer there was just one possible 'peg'. Probably best to wait for the Autumn die back I reckon, It rarely get's fished, so just what to expect is anyone's guess, but would be an ideal spot to 'campaign' I guess, but unless you have a 4x4 I wouldn't bother.
If you want to fish that area, the don't forget EA have a'free' stretch at Uckinghall, and also Upton, which extends past Upton AA waters.
If I was to chose a new spot to fish on the Lower, it would be EA at Uckinghall, great access to big safe wooden staging, and parking in the BAA car park,. Pity BAA don't have the bit at the back of the pool now, used to be v.good.
Another venue could be Tewkesbury Ham above and below the weir, good bags of Bream are coming out and the match guy's are losing Barbel too... a bit of a walk though but level ground. Tewkesbury Popular Angling is the club.
But best to wait for the Autumn anyway on the Lower for big Barbel, and we have perhaps the best of the lot in Severn Stoke.
