Well im surpose to be fishing a match at Salford priors this Sunday 6/8/23 .. but iv just had a txt informing me its not happening on that venue. Due to the track to the river being impassable because of the rain weve had a the farm vehicles rutting it all up....
OH well nobody's fault i suppose...shame really i was looking forward to running my stick float down the avon...

Re: salford priors

Think there's been issues with that track for some years mate. That's why I've avoided going there. I've wondered if it's worth trying to park at the top of the track and walk to the river, looks quite a hike though.

I'd be grateful if anyone else has information on access.

I remember going there in the Winter years back in the late 70's on a freezing day. Fished a couple of pegs below the Arrow and had about 35lb of roach and chub on the stick float.

Re: salford priors

i fished there at least 4 times in the last 3 years and as you say its a cracking stretch of water , but you do need a couple of weeks of good sunshine to dry it out , ( or a Landrover )..but then you run the risk of the river running low and clear and fishing hard..
Catch 22 really..
but allways a place to keep your eye on ....
