Anyone taking a gander at the Danary at the moment who's never been there before, please do not go anywhere near the waters edge at Peg 1 (aka the Bus Stop swim).
The approach to this peg is normally a gentle slope which should have been filled with water today with the water level being just above 3mtrs but the slope is currently filled with the equivalent to a lorry load of hay, several meters deep for the first 30ft out from the path, but at the waters edge it will only be a deceptively thin raft with meters of water underneath what looks like sold ground.

Barbel are feeding again by the way ( caught two today to 6lb 10oz fishing the near margin from the top of the bank between pegs 2 & 3) & for those interested the water temp is the same today as it has been for the last 3 weekends (6.5*C).
