Hi my name is Jeff ,myself and two friends travel from near Portsmouth every Oct.(40yrs)and spend the week fishing the wye and Severn. I am now a senior citizen but happy to pay my £30 for no more than three days fishing BAA waters. Unfortunately the last two years have been total wash outs but nothing we can do about the weather.
I only fish rivers from Oct till end of season. My “local” club is Ringwood which is a minimum of 120mls return journey which I would do at least twice a week if conditions allow. Unfortunately I haven’t had the opportunity to fish since Xmas because of the travel restrictions , so with that and the floods it’s been a disastrous season but with everything else that’s been going on it’s somewhat irrelevant !!
Cottage already booked for October and looking forward to a few days on the Severn , fingers crossed.
