Hi had a day at stacklands trying miserably to catch a salmon,as expected I failed but I caught half a dozen fish that I had never seen before I’m sure someone on here knows what they are thanks in advance

Re: What is it?Thanks atlast for a while there I thought the wye had been invaded with baby tarpon . I’ve read that article now on the home page I never knew there was such a fish.

Re: What is it?Caught Shad on the wye on Mepps, there is usually a run of them in May, they are member of herring family,have very boney mouth, and leap out of the water to try and shake the hook- they are brilliant sport, my friend foul hooked a barbel in its dorsal fin whilst spinning for Shad, it went off like a steam train
