Re: severn stoke barbel

think last season there were more people night fishing than day fishing. I leave on time and on several occasions there were still people fishing and on a couple of people occasions turning up as i left. When you point out what they are doing is wrong you just got abuse.. Have not bothered this season yet. Need lots of heavy rain i think.

Re: swans neck an head bitten clean off by otter at mythe pool

Otters attacking and killing swans has been witnessed, they also attack and kill herons and in early summer large numbers of ducks, moorhens etc. Doubt the scarecrows will work that well as down our way they pose for the camera, or are just totally oblivious to people, even in broad daylight. I believe waterfowl make up a significant amount of an otters diet in spring and summer, they are after all the river environments apex predator.

powick weir

Read their replies, looked to be a lot vague answers in there. If removing the weir is so important for fish movement an reproduction, why did the EA authorize the installation of the 2 screws to generate power at Pershore. Surely this is causing fish deaths, particularly eels,(endangered species) and caused an obstruction to fish movement?

disgusting

In the faint hope that the the individual responsible, logs on here and reads the postsand might change their ways

whoever you are that felt the need to defecate behind the swim with the handrail near the bottom of Wasperton, your behaviour is disgusting. There is acres of rough ground there, if you really had to go and didnt have any form of plastic bag, couldnt you have dug a hole and buried it. My hope is if there is a next time you do it you get caught and banned.

Also looked as thought someone, maybe the same person had bivvied up there, possiblt night fishing as the bivvy was in a location where it wouldnt be seen unless someone walked down into the swim.
Its people like this that could ruin the fisheries for everyone.
