Re: Blackstone

Bound to get a few non members using our waters as they are so accessible, probably them that leave the rubbish. Been a member for about 8 or 9 years and pleased to say that apart from an occasional rather verbally loud bloke, usually effing this that and the other, everyone is well behaved. As I nearly always fish rivers and on weekdays I can pretty much guarantee a peaceful day.
Despite the occasional grumble that sometimes surfaces I think value for money the BAA is unbeatable. Hope you have a few good sessions Macca, sure you will find a few favourite spots.

Re: Blackstone

glad you back into your fishing , the bailiff normaly pops round. hes a lovely chap, real gentleman .
as for the beer boys. well thats just one of the things with fishing, some lads like a drink when fishing, some like a smoke, aslong as dont start kicking off or leave their cans behind then not much can do.
just enjoy your self and get them rods bent into those barble !
will be good banter with your son and son in law smiling

Re: Blackstone

Any day out away from the wife is a great day lol. Am I right in thinking the last few pegs down river are deeper and slower waters . It's been many years ago I was fishing so any tips for fishing along this stretch will be grately appreciated

Re: Blackstone

Try not to get drawn to the deeper waters, look for areas where it's got a bit more pace even if it's shallow chances are there will be more fish there this time of year.

Ps great to hear such positives about the baliffing keep up the good work guys

Re: Blackstone

The last few pegs are ment to be good back end of the year especially for Roach ive looked at them but never fished them just not felt they were right on the day. Just before you go down into the second field is where I normally opt for you can see the river start to slow up a little. Normally catch plenty of fish on the float and the odd occasional barbel on the feeder.

Been told the first few pegs on the stretch can be very good but you need to wade out and fish a feeder or run a float through close to the far bank trees propa fishing. Ive never fished these pegs though only what ive been told.

good luck buddy
