Happy new year ..Hello mate iv had a couple of problems renewing my membership over the last couple of days due to my rubbish computer skills....iv managed to do it now and paid up over your online link on here. ( with a bit of help with the skills I lack ..) however I'm not expecting to receive my card in the post before new years day when ill will next be fishing....Will I still be ok ..
i do have proof of 2022..and 40 odd years previous ..
i realise its my fault for being either too lazy or too drunk to get it done earlier but i really forgot and was expecting a reminder ...I never look at emails...

i'm still waiting for mine paid for it a couple of weeks ago. i know the baa office is shut and the royal mail is rubbish at the moment so not blaming baa. i'm out fishing tomorrow which will be ok as it's still 2022 but if i go out next week will my membership number from 2021 cover me ?

that all i need to know mate.. there wasn't anything to print off to say iv paid , just a confirmation saying i was successful..
im hoping it will be fine and maybe if you do see a bailiff then they might be able to check..
my main excuse is that Brian Marsh who is part of the B.A.A. Team was our club secretary for 50 years and used to order our cards for us at our December AGM... but he stepped down this year so it wasn't mentioned..
i know its a poor excuse but its all iv got..

If you can access the confirmation email on your phone just show the bailiff if you are asked and this will cover you until your card arrives. If you can't access it on your phone you'll need a print out.

Just reread and saw you had nothing to print. There should be an email somewhere, try your junk folder if you can't find it.

no mate there's nothing to confirm.. ill take my currant licence with me and im sure any understanding chap will see the situation we are in...iv done everything i can other than phone john Williams personally which it tells you to do on the BAA answer phone, but im not prepared to do that over the Christmas period. And plus it not exactly an emergence..
i love seeing a bailiff on my trips out as i think they do a great job for very little thanks but tomorrow i hope i dont  fingers crossed..
to be honest the place im going tomorrow . iv never see one in 50 odd years.....

fished the cut today and had 2 bailiffs an hour apart ask me for my b.a.a. card. i asked the second one called peter about not having my new card yet and he said i would need to print the email i got from the b.a.a. to prove payment. i explained i had no proof of payment. he said he forgot there was a new way of payment and he would speak to john williams about the problem in the week. by the way never had a bite today on a crystal clear canal!

happy new year mate, on the fazeley next to the marston hotel in bodymoor heath. not a sign of a fish anywhere. it's one a chuck in summer/spring in the same peg.

im not surprized... i used to fish the winter league on the stretch at the back of the drome café many moons ago .. it was always hard .. when we went practicing in the warmer months it was great , often hook a carp as well but very rarely landed one ( not kitted up for them )..
fair play to you though at least you went and gave it a go .
i might pop over in the summer and give it a try , its been years since i fished over that way.

Still waiting for mine to arrive but at least I've got an e-mailed acknowledgement receipt dated 11/12/22 to keep me legal.
The daft thing is that I paid my Liability Insurer by BACS yesterday. Got his "thank you" letter with the Policy documents in the post TODAY so there's no rhyme nor reason as to how the Post is working at the moment.
I suppose that it'll all come out in the wash
