Can anybody tell me where I can find river temperatures, I live in Kent so cant just drop a thermometer into the flow.

Look on facebook for Severn Anglers. Phil O'callaghan does a daily post with water temperature and levels around Shrewsbury. Very useful.

If you are a member of Barbel Fishing World (BFW) forum, on the River Severn thread a chap called Sid Croft puts up temperatures 3-4 days a week during the colder months. A very active and informative forum to be on aside of that. Recommend it.
