Without it I'd have continued to associate Blackstone with purely specimen Chub & Barbel but those resilient skimmers seem to get everywhere along the Severn where there's a bit of slack water, and this knowledge about Blackstone is an eye opener to me. I'm looking forward to fishing Blackstone again now which I haven't done for 10 years or more. Its pretty local to me and easy parking (on the bank), but I'd like to give targeting the Silvers a go for a change instead of purely aiming for Old Rubber Lips & Whisker Chops every time. Thanks for another interesting match report Ollie.
