Switched from a high Severn to the Staffs / Worcs canal at Hinksford. Despite having a league match fished on the stretch the day before, some caught, some didn't . Skimmers, perch and chub showing in the main catches, roach still failing to show in any numbers.

2nd Andy Sloan 5 - 4 - 0

3rd Garry Mason 4 - 11 - 0

4th Sean Waite 3 - 7 - 0

Hi Ollie

Nice to see that the bigger fish weren't put off by a 2.2*C drop in water temp in a short time last week (it was 16.1*C at Ashwood last Tuesday and down to 13.9*C at Wolverley on Saturday).

I'll bet Howard Dodd was chuffed. Just 3oz short of a 15lb bag of fish is quite an achievement on any canal.

Thanks for your report again. smiling

Hello Fellow d’anglers,
Wow for the Top 5 to weigh in a Total of 30lb is a very good return, well done to those d’anglers.

I only hope that those fish are around in a weeks time when the b.a.a. forum d’anglers AC will be holding a contest along that stretch.

Thanks for posting yet another great report Ollie, it is very much appreciated.

Keep on Fishing…
