My dad and I recently joined BAA and are planning a trip to one of the Avon stretches (possibly Bidford) on 16th June to hopefully target some barbel and chub. However, I see from the plan of work calendar that the BAA sections of the Avon aren’t due to be strimmed until end of June. How overgrown are these sections (in particular Bidford) likely to be? Wondering whether it would be better to head slightly further to somewhere on the River Severn where strimming will have already taken place (we will be travelling from Oxfordshire). Any advice much appreciated!
