Re: Upper Severn

hi mate if you pm Mike through the office you,ll find him a spot on guy. tell him what you want as reguards swims/water depth fast shallows or deeper swims he will put you right. From highly to welshpool is about 45 mile ish about 1hr 20 mins. All the BAA waters on upper seven are all just off A483 except Forden but thats only 10 mins off main road .All cark parks are BAA or farm yards NO parking on public rds or lay buys/ grass verges. 99.9% of mikes swims are clear and safe he put rope hand rails down some and cut steps. River is very low at the moment as all are up here in the midlands. Get in touch with mike nearer your time up here and he will put you right as i,ve said spot on guy, hope this helps abit. Tight lines. regards hgvretired.

Re: Trying To Find and Fish the River Mease.

hi all being one of the senior members i,ve know and fished the river mease on and off for 40 years its always been left wild or at most lightly cleared so saplings of my youth are now trees so what i would rather fish an unkept venue to seek at the fish. The mease no longer has the VERY large chub it used to have but it can still produce the odd surprise. Would just like to put my thoughts in about clearing your own pegs by all means go ahead BUT do it safely banks can be undercut steep and slippy. tight lines to all.

Re: River Mease

hi Brummymoorey, i live in Tamworth so the Mease only 15 mins from me used to fish it most weekends with my father many years ago then it held huge chub .Now very over grown gets weed choked in the summer and the pegs overgrown parking in small lay by (only room for 3/4 cars and popular with local dog walkers) short walk through 2 gates over footbridge so travlel light and rove about still few chub still about and odd small barbel. hope this helps a bit tight lines .

Re: River Trent at Handsacre

hi Brummymoorey, i fish handsacre quite regular as its my closest baa river stretch and the mease handsacre good parking off the road right behind your peg, pegs get over grown in summer but normaly quite a few ok this time of year, i,am not a "big fish" angler but ive had chub to over 4lb, roach 1lb plus, bream to 7lb, lots of pearch to a 1lb neaver blanked some quite days, maggot bread worm and pellet just depends on the day. pike can be a pain in the neck some days.peg under the power lines is the "banker" and next couple of pegs down hope this helps abit and tight lines.
