Re: Predator Strteches

Every stretch on the BAA will contain predators. Zander more prolific on the lower reaches of the Severn and Avon. But honestly, don't worry about venues, they are everywhere and each venue will have a range of sizes from babies to specimens. Just pick a stretch and move about.

Re: Repair to track at Salford priors

To say BAA don't own the land is a bit of a cop out. Until contact is made then no one will know what can be negotiated. Presumably the land owner is taking a fee so there has to be a middle ground if anyone can be bothered to pursue it.

Absolutely to both venues

Re: Treble hooks

The wire trace rule is backwards. You might be targeting salmon/trout or whatever but the chances are a spinner is going to encounter a pike at some point so we're saying it's fine for it to bite it off?

Re: Fladbury Weir

Not sure on the numbers. I've had the best two seasons of my life for barbel on the Avon and not a weir in sight. People need to get out there and explore the river. It's not always the obvious places that throw up the fish. If people want to go on flogging the likes of Marcliff, Nafford and Fladbury for the same fish then let them. They're missing out on a hell of a lot of river.
