Hope you find an even bigger specimen. The Avon was OK yesterday with the extra water and warm weather, and the fish are getting fatter!

Third season in BAA, after ~50 yr break! Waited until after the rain to visit the Avon on 10th Aug. One small roach, so by almost full time and no bites, hope seemed lost when the reel screamed and the rod wrapped round! After some firm but determined wrestling, the beautiful monster attached graced the net. A lovely barbel - 12lb 2oz and 80cm. What a mystery this sport is - full of random surprises!
