apperley lakes ... all a bit green really !

hi all. im a river trotter but fish apperley lakes quite a bit in the close season, its not the same but i do need a fix ! i had a couple of hours there again today but absolutely no fish, not even a bite, which is quite unusual for apperley at this time of year, particularly given the warmth this am. even when its slow you can bag a few small roach, rudd and skimmers, however it has been pretty poor over the last month or so.
i noticed that the water is really quite green and wonder if this is the reason that its such poor fishing at the moment. anyone any thoughts ?

Re: Stacklands new Wye fishery

ok thanks for that admin - it sounds interesting. looking forward to giving it a try presently. hereford club waters have a maggot ban on the wye until 26 september if my memory serves me well. presumably the humble maggot can be used at stacklands from 16/6 ?
