Stacklands

Whilst fishing at Stacklands on Friday, during the day a group of youngsters in canoes (with adult supervision) came through, whilst very polite and taking care of our lines in the chosen swims, a few needed to leave their canoes for a call of nature. Along came one of the adults with the "loo rolls" several youngsters climbed the banks and a few minutes later paddled off. Now in all innocence not a problem until the owner on his regular trips to the bankside sees what I can only imagine what was left, what is going to be the first thought in his mind, "bloody Birmingham Anglers" . Well in this case "Keith" it is NOT the anglers to blame, otherwise I found no other litter at all well done all who visit keep it up.

Re: Severn Roach Journey

Well done "onelastcast" excellent fish, and for sharing your experience. I'm new to the BAA and the area so any info on what and where is great. Spent a day trotting at Ribbsford last season for 8 gudgeon and each one returned brought a pike up from the depths, same fish as it had some damage to its front dorsal fin. Finally caught it after 3 runs on frozen roach, only 5 lbs'ish but fun, and that's what this game is all about, tight lines mate.

Re: Teme Eastham Bridge

I went down on sunday mid day for a look see, although nobody fishing saw plenty of decent looking chub moving about and a very successful minnow spawning. Picked up a few bits of litter (not as bad as will get when more go to fish) , why fishermen cant keep a bag in their gear to remove litter is beyond me, as all these bottles and wrappers weigh more to carry when full than empty. Rubbish in the car park isn't all down to anglers, have seen people having their lunch parked up as I have driven by.
