Re: Stacklands help please

Hi Rog, sorry I left you hanging too....the questions are left unanswered but as far as the weed problem is concerned I would hope the recent extra water had flushed it away. The parking there is a problem if the track is closed so it might be a plan to look for alternatives before setting out considering it's a bit of a trek.
The Wye bailiff is a good bloke I can only think he doesn't log on here too much?
Hoping to get down there early next month

Re: Stacklands Gate

Cheers...can you advise as to how the weed or algae green stuff that clogs the bottom is doing? Last time there it was impossible to present a bait with getting everything covered in the stuff. Hopefully a flush through will sort it out if it still is a problem. Also was wondering if and when the gate is locked... the possibility in parking the other side of footbridge by the church?

Re: Eckington

I guess the poor weather put them off....but well done on the slab a 7lb Bream is a great fish...suppose the Bleak are a great snack which makes the venue good for Zander and Pike.
And yes the ticket for Eckington A.C is indeed £20 not £10.

Re: Stacklands help please

Should have added Rog, possibly not the best venue for wading, but there is a couple of croys that would give you a nice platform to trot a float through.

Re: Stacklands help please

Hi Rog,
Still around just about ...Yep the weed at Stacklands was a real problem, I did see a you tube vid recently where John Bailey had the exact same problem but at Berwadine (sp) I think it's down to the poultry farms upstream tbh.
Not fished the Teme yet too, been promising myself so need to act.
Now Autumn around the corner hoping for some more water in the Wye etc, so will give you a shout if you fancy a Barbel bonanza at the famous Stacklands.grin
