I sympathise with you on this one, nothing worse than having your fishing decimated.
But what I am struggling with is putting canal caught fish into the food chain...if this is fact the repercussions would be huge as would the penalties if there was a problem with eating the things.
Facebook, with respect is not the ideal source for the truth is it?
Meanwhile I am sure you are aware there are plenty of Z's in the Severn.

I thought the Zander were removed because they are a non native species, I didn't think the EA had a little business going on selling them.
Do you have any details on this?

Enjoyed some good days at Eardiston a few years back....about this time of year the run off from the mill was black with spawning chub and barbel. But we always left them alone to get on with their business.
Spotting a solitary barbel now is a cause for celebration...small steps though.

You should have no problem catching big slabs on the Lower Severn especially if you...
Treat yourself to a Barbel session, fish into dark, cant go wrong.
