Hi Guys. I am looking for a bit of help from someone that might remember an old BAA fishery (I think). When I was younger I seem to remember going to avon meadows. Now I know that it was a very long walk (we used to get the farmer to take us over on the back of his tractor for matches), and the fishing was patchy but some very good roach sport. I think it was around Stratford but I not sure about that bit. Does anyone else know of this venue or have I imagined it? If so does anyone know the location and who is running it these days please? Even Google hasn't managed to help me with this one for a change

Re: Avon MeadowsI remember it well, it was a great stretch, there was a big bend in the river half way down the stretch, below that it ran down with overhanging willows opposite, great roach sport as you say, and some good chub.

Re: Avon MeadowsThats the one...thanks Johnny. At least it means that I'm not going mad. Be great if anyone out there knows who is running the stretch now as it's well worth the killer walk

Re: Avon MeadowsPete, Leamington angling association has a couple of stretches in Stratford and the lido stretch seems to fit your description

Re: Avon MeadowsThanks gudgeonbasher. I was just looking at the huge gap on the avon between Wasperton and Berton....it's such a shame that the BAA don't have anything around there anymore. I will have a look into the Leamington AA though thank you
