Manor Farm, Wasperton
Avon
Description
Relatively shallow stretch of the Avon with deeper water downstream. The upstream section has considerable weed and reed growth in summer. Vehicles may be driven along the bank to chosen pegs but be careful as the bank is rutted as a result and muddy in wet weather. Chub, roach, perch pike and barbel plus occasional trout can be caught here, mainly on light float tackle.Location (SATNAV)

Wasperton barbel.
Thought you may want to add this the the what's being caught section. Didn't have my scales with me but estimated around 7lbish. Still a great stretch that throws up surprises... My 11 year old also had two on but managed to slip the hook, old and very wise fish on this stretch. Clive Ayers.

Wasperton PB
What's being caught here - just thought I'd share my new pb. After 8 trips and not landing one barbel last Friday within half an hour of casting in I was rewarded with a new pb of 13lb 7oz. Absolutely over the moon. Thanks Stuart Rhodes
