Cracking day on the Stour
Just thought I'd share a couple of pictures. I fished at the River Stour venue on the 27th September for the first time in years. Fishing light on a stick float, I had a cracking 5.5lb bag of lovely roach including one of 1lb. A gorgeous little river and it was well worth the visit. Ben Keen

This is the river just by the canal junction with a path up to the towpath. The BAA water extends further upstream, but at the moment the footbridge across the overflow from the canal needs replacing and the bank is very overgrown, a job for the Fisheries Team in the near future.

Entry to the path down to the river from the canal tow path just past bridge 33 by the Staffs Worcester/Stourbridge Canals junction. A member of the Fisheries Team can be seen coming up the path with a wheelbarrow loaded with tools etc at the end of a day cutting back the trees over the river.
