The BAA have just added a new 'Pennyford Hall' river fishery for the 2018 season on the River Alne, near to Wootton Wawen.

Details are;

Description

Approximately 1 mile of fishing on this small tributary of the river Arrow, either side of Pennyford Lane bridge, near to the village of Wooton Wawen. The stretch contains trout and coarse fish including chub, dace, roach, perch, pike, plus reputedly the odd barbel. Mainly shallow, but with deeper pools on the many bends, it lends itself to a “roving” style of angling.

Location (SATNAV)

B95 6HE

Approaches

From the B4089 turn onto Pennyford Lane, parking on either side of the river bridge and under the railway bridge. For the upstream section, walk a short distance along the road which leads to the water works, then follow the public footpath across the field to the river. For downstream, cross the river bridge, under the railway bridge and through the kissing gate.
