Bagged up at Arley
Hi, thought this might be something of interest. I was bailiffing down at Arley left bank this afternoon Sunday 6th January and stopped to chat to member Paul Field. He was catching one a chuck on the waggler and maggot. I stayed to help him weigh the fish which in total was just over 50lb. The net consisted of chub and barbel. There were 3 chub over 6lb with the biggest at 6lb 12oz, the biggest barbel pictured was 11lb, there was even a perch close to 2lb ,brilliant bag of fish! Stewart Mulheron (bailiff).

Memorable day at Stanley Water
Would like to report another fishing outing at the Stanley water stretch of the middle Severn last weekend. The fishing from afternoon was prolific and remarkable. Amongst the catch was a roach of 1lb, a chub of 5lb 8 ounce and a barbel of 9lb 8 ounce. Photos are of the barbel and chub. Adam Price-Hunt

Middle Severn session.
9lb 3oz, waggler caught barbel, best of 39 caught over 6 days fishing the Trimpley and Arley stretches of the middle Severn. Most fish during the week, including chub over 4lb, a 1lb 10oz trout, and several pound-plus perch, taken on float-fished caster – by far the best way to catch barbel and chub! Mick Hanley
