The canal in Oldbury is on the junction of Oldbury rd and Albion rd, park on the factory unit right on the canal, walk over the bridge and turn left, go under the two bridges and anywhere there, it is featureless up there. Its strange because you walk passed the first stretch which is reed lined and that is full of tiny roach, but walk just under the two bridges and between the bridge and the next set of reeds is where they are, i think there must be a pipe carrying water between factories at one stage under the canal, if you look at the area closely and that feature must hold them.
There is a to path both sides, the one on the side where you park is nice and smooth for bikes etc..,
The one the other side is natural so you get no bikes or walkers, thats why i walked the dog that side
